The Rose Consort has performed in St Mary's Church on several occasions, as has Catherine King, who was last here with Gothic Voices.
The Consort has given many concerts in
North America and its many acclaimed recordings include a Purcell
CD selected by the Sunday Times as the best available.
The
Fantazias are complemented by works by Byrd and Dowland, Purcell's
two greatest English precursors.
