Olivier Messiaen was born 10 December 1908 in Avignon. Warwick makes an early contribution to the worldwide celebrations for one of the great composers of the last century.
The new Director of Music at St Mary's Church plays one of his masterpieces for organ and his extraordinary Quartet premiered in Stalag 8a in 1941 is performed by four young musicians who have made a study of his work.
