Olivier Messiaen was born 10 December 1908 in Avignon. Warwick makes
an early contribution to the worldwide celebrations for one
of the great composers of the last century.
The new Director of Music at St Mary's Church plays one of
his masterpieces for organ and his extraordinary Quartet premiered
in Stalag 8a in 1941 is performed by four young musicians who
have made a study of his work.
