A vibrant programme that shines a light on music-making in late-seventeenth-century England and virtuosic writing for violin, exploring music written for and by court musicians of the Restoration period. Well-known works by Purcell, Jenkins and Matteis are presented alongside new discoveries by Mell, Matteis and Isaack.
