The Carducci Quartet first played for Leamington Music in 2009 and this is its sixth concert in the town. The Carducci’s recent programmes here have included Shostakovich, whose full cycle the Quartet toured throughout 2015 with an accompanying CD release and which won a Royal Philharmonic Society Music Award. Last year, a wonderful performance of Philip Glass’s third quartet by the Royal Quartet brought many new faces into the audience.
