Come and join a consort of singers from Stile Antico in singing music from their programme ‘The Golden Renaissance’ ahead of their performance at St Mary’s Church on 21st October. You will have the chance to sing some of the group’s favourite music of the Renaissance period by composers such as William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons, Tomás Luis de Victoria and Francisco Guerrero, and hear from members of the group why they love it so much! The workshop will finish with a short informal run-through for family and friends.

A certain amount of choral experience and the ability to sight-read is helpful. However, scores will be made available in advance, to give everyone a chance to study the music and get the most out of the experience.

A workshop with Stile Antico offers an outstanding opportunity to develop listening skills, rhythmic confidence, and musical independence in a supportive and stimulating environment. By singing without a conductor under the guidance of members of the group, participants are encouraged to work as chamber musicians, to respond imaginatively to text, and to make their own interpretative decisions.

Participants will also receive a 25% discount on tickets to Stile Antico’s concert in St Mary’s Church, Warwick on Tuesday 21st October.
