The Shepherd’s Calendar

Ringing the changes for The Mellstock Band’s annual appearance, we move this year from the Lord Leycester Hospital to celebrate merrymaking and courtship through the country year. The Shepherd’s Calendar is a costume presentation of music featuring rare instruments including the fascinating serpent, with the Band’s inimitable blend of voices in song and spoken word. The programme follows the festivities of the rural year from winter, through spring and summer to harvest-time, with the words of Thomas Hardy, John Clare and the Somerset parson John Holland introducing music and songs.

Current Government guidance states that face coverings MUST be worn to concerts; any changes to this will be listed on our homepage.

Please note that concerts might be cancelled if any Government guidance changes; in the event of this, a full refund will be offered.

Leamington Music reserves the right to change artists or programmes if necessary.

Tickets held for this concert will be transferred to a new date.
